cordially invite you to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the publication of one of the most influential books of our time: Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.

In the past 50 years, 30 million copies of Atlas Shrugged is estimated to have sold across the world. The book is reported to have been translated in to about a dozen languages.In the first nine months of 2007, sale of Atlas Shrugged has reportedly doubled at, over the 2006 figures. Atlas Shrugged is currently ranked 124th on Amazon’s sales chart. Alan Greenspan, the immediate past chairman of the US Federal Reserve, has, in his recent autobiography, noted how Ayn Rand’s ideas helped him develop as a person. 50th Anniversary celebrations are scheduled to take place around the world. In India, events marking the anniversary are to take place in New Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai, on 12 October 2007. Now Kolkata (16 October 2007) and Bangalore have joined in with events next week. We hope soon other cities will join in too.

    What a shame! They call Pune the literary, artistic, and cultural capital of India, and there’s nothing happening here…

    How I envy you. Do have your cake and eat it on my behalf too!

  2. Reading the book for the past two weeks and fell in love with it! Hope to finish it off by this weekend…cant wait to know ‘Who is John Galt’ 🙂
